The long awaited VAV Tres Fincas 2011 is a special jewel. This blend combines our grapes from all 3 of our vineyards. All the grapes were hand-picked and sorted before the crush and the wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. The wine is a delightful combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Garnet in color, the nose is extremely fragrant with violet, and red and blue fruits. In the mouth, the wine shows many layers of red and blue fruit, dried fruits, violet, vanilla, and tobacco. Having a very good structure and soft tannins, the finish is long and elegant. May be consumed now or laid down for 8 – 10 years.
